The manufacturing at Konstantinovka Iron & Steel Works is agilely developing business.

CC “KMZ“ passed the whole way from the establishment becoming the first-rate manufacturer of high quality cold-drawn rounds and hexahedral rolled metal in Ukraine. The progress of our Works is provided by proper management strategy, high technological level and workers professionalism.

There are following foundations of strategy development of CC „KMZ“ as the manufacturer of high quality calibrated rolled metal:

• to keep leadership in markets of Ukraine, Commonwealth of Independent States (Russia, Belarus, Latvia and others);
• to strengthen and develop the Works” hand at the European and world markets increasing the sales volume;
• to extend grades of calibrated steel;
• to provide high competitiveness of the products at the rolled metals markets.

The achievement of strategic goal is carried out by complex scientifically established approach solving technical and technological tasks, production and economical targets through the following activities:

• permanent reengineering of the existing business processes;
• strictly observance of process discipline by functional quality control at all stages of production;
• implementation of state-of-the-art automatic process control system;
• regular training and evaluation of all Works“ staff including top management;
• improvement of motivational process to increase manpower productivity;
• purposeful personnel policy considering forward staff turnover.

There are many new ideas and prospect for development at the Works. There was paved the way for construction of new foundry and rolling complex with capacity of 750 000 tons of liquid steel per year. The complex includes modern arc-furnace shop and rolling mill with overall capacity 525 000 tons per year of rolling metal out of carbon steel, structural steel, alloy steel, bearing steel, spring steel and others.

The commissioning of new production facilities permits to enlarge assortment, augment the stock of production of high quality cold-drawn steel and hot rolled steel.
